As a state agency, George Mason University refers to the Library of Virginia Retention and Disposition General Schedules to apply retention to public records created at the university. Library of Virginia Retention and Disposition General Schedules
George Mason University refers to the General State Agency bucket schedules to maintain University records in accordance with the series classification to which they are assigned. These schedules are appraised and published by the Library of Virginia, as is their duty under the Virginia Public Records Act.
